    Working from home

Busy day in the home office, my brain is complete fried after 11 teams meetings. So much for species-appropriate husbandry.

Unfortunately not everyone is the master of his own time, to let some room for white space in the calendar. If you are trading your lifetime for money like I am, sometimes health will have to take a backseat in order to stay employed.

    Have a great one!

  • Monday blues

    Monday blues

Oh what a day, 9.5 hrs of work, 7 of those in teams meetings, the first 4 onsite, shouting into my Notebook mic, since I was dumb enough to leave my headphones at home.

My brain is completely fried after talking for the better part of the workday.

Now it‘s time to correct homework and learn mathematics with my older daughter.

If everything runs smoothly for the next two hours and I got some brainpower left, I‘ll try to get a workout in.

Tomorrow will be mostly the same chaos and task overloaded day, but without the commute to the office to have videocalls on videocalls and all the other benefits, from bad coffee to open room offices with people shouting into their respective mics and bad food options for noon, that deteriorate your body like work deteriorates your mind.

Don’t take work too seriously! Nobody will thank you for it, except with more work maybe.

  • Play a game with me, Ray.

Play a game with me, Ray.

Outfit inspired by the character of Raymond from Guy Ritchie‘s great movie The Gentlemen. Used a different color palette, since I don’t like earth tones that much, but you get the idea.

Picked it to honor my dad, who passed away this day a year ago to two different types of cancer, after enjoying two short years of pension. Went far to early and would have really deserved more time, after putting work first for over 50 years.

Enjoy your day, don‘t take life too seriously, you won‘t make it out alive!

  • Casual Saturday

    Casual Saturday

I don‘t particularly like wearing jeans but sometimes, for example when sitting most of the day in the car, they are just to comfy. Light blue jeans and a navy blazer go really good together, if the jeans are to dark and there is not much of a contrast it doesn’t quite have the same casual effect. You end up looking like you stained your slacks and went into the next best Walmart to get new trousers for less than 10$.

As for the shirt, white always works with everything but you can experiment a bit, black, navy, grey you could even go with green and have a fitting pocket square for that.

Enjoy your weekend, don‘t forget to have some fun!

I’m off for some BBQ paired with red wine.

  • Freitag – free of work

    Freitag – free of work

Took the day off today, already too much hours in my time account, excess work would result in getting my hours cut without any countervalue.

So I did sit on the couch the whole day, playing Fortnite on my kid‘s switch.

Have a great weekend ahead, and don‘t take life to seriously.
